Laptop wont power

I have a thinkpad t61 laptop and the other day it stopped running off of the power supply and would only run off of battery. i have about four of the same power supplies at my house and it still didn't work. the computer works fine minus the power issue.

(windows 7 pro., 2 gb of ram, 110 gb drive)

there could be a few issues causing this but one that mainly happens is a faulty power socket preventing current flow to charging circuit

The socket works fine I've tried it in many different ones too

Well I don't think it's that because I have put it on a docking station and it didn't work i think something has burnt out on the mother board
