Laptop Touchpad Clicking...How do I turn it off?

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn off the 'tapping' on the
touchpad. It makes it so whenever you just tap your finger, it acts like the
left button, but I don't like it and would like to turn it off. Any
suggestions?

Hi,

Take a look at the Mouse properties in Control Panel. Mine brings up
touch pad properties.

Might try
Control Panel / Sounds /Sounds tab
scroll down to Windows Explorer
probably two settings one each for
Start Navigation
Complete Navigation

You haven't mentioned which brand of laptop you have.
you may configure it either throgh the control panel>mouse option
or,direct through the laptop configuration(like in case of IBM
Thinkpa:-start>all programs>Access IBM>Thinkpad
configuration>Touchpad>here you uncheck 'enable tapping.'
