LAN access

No computers on Workgroup can see one of the Win 2k Pro clients but the client
can see all other computers on the workgroup. I've been searching for a
remedy everywhere but no success yet. This computer does not appear in My
Network Places. When the Win 2k client is attached to a domain the same
problem occurs. Might this be a corrupted Registry problem?

Check the properties of the LAN connection. Install "File and Printer
Sharing". Windows 2000 will not show up until it is enabled. XP will.

"File and Printer Sharing" is installed on all machines but all that comes up
under Entire Network is "Langroup" which does not expand to show members of
the group or attached printers

I think I have more than one problem here.

Do you have a firewall on the one computer? If so, uninstall it and test
again; then reinstall it and configure it for LAN access. Do not simply
disable it, as most firewalls do not correctly disable themselves.

If file and printer sharing is enabled on that workstation (I'm hoping you
verified this), then it really does sound like a firewall issue.
