HI
I have win 2k Server with SP 4. we r having win XP professional SP 2
(client). I need to create serveral workgroup in win2K server. (for example)
ACCOUNTS group, HR group, DEVERLOPER group .. so on and so froth. Im
currently using only one domain. under ONe domain I need to creat several
workgroups.
It will be easy to know where the user is located on which group. Is tit
possible for to create several workgroups under one domain ? in other way it
will looka like this
DOMAIN- XYZ
UNDER THIS these re the workgroups im creating
ACCOUNTS
MARKETING
TELECOMMMUNICATION
HR ...

LET ME know if it can be implemented under one domain .

Workgroups have nothing to do with a domain. I suspect you want to create
several Organizational Units (OUs) within your domain, or perhaps Global
security groups.

I would suggest you start with a trip to your nearest bookstore and get a
good beginner's tome on Active Directory followed by several trips to the
TechNet libraries for further study.

Organizational Units (OU) is what you want. It's too big a topic with
far-reaching implications to cover in a newsgroup post. Look for on-line
tutorials, or better - pick up a good book on Active Directory
administration.
