Win 98 and ME on a Win 2000 network

Hi,

I have a Windows 2K network running from a Win 2K Server with Active
Directory installed.

On the network are 7 PCs, 3 with Win XP, 2 with Windows 2K, 1 with Win 98
and 1 with Win ME. All the PC's bar the 98 and ME can connect to the domain.
I have set up these 2 PC's to use a Workgroup with the same name as the
Domain and have set up Client for Windows Network on them.

I can ping the other PC's from them but cannot use a Client program on these
2 PC's to connect with the program running on the other PC's.

Is there anything that I need to do to get these 2 PC's onto the Domain?
Is there anything that I have to do in Active Directory to add these 2 PC's?

Thanks in advance.

Windows 98 and Me cannot "join" a domain in the same way that a Windows 2000
or XP computer can. The best you can accomplish is to have them log onto
the domain (this is the "Log on to Windows NT Domain" choice in the Network
Setup for Client for Microsoft Networks) and validate a user name and
password. By doing so you will have access to the domain resources from the
Windows 98/ME computers, but you will need to manually configure them to
allow access to domain members in each file share.
