lag when scrolling

I just restored my comp. But now it lags only when i am scrolling up/down on
a page no matter which program i am using. It also lags when i move a window
from one side to the other. This laptop is only one year old, it has 512mb
ram and shouldn't be lagging at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you happen to have a notebook computer, visit the notebook
manufacturer's support website to download the correct video
adapter drivers for your specific notebook model.

After installing a fresh set of drivers, right-click on your
desktop and select Properties > Settings, change the Color
Quality to "Highest (32 bit), then adjust your Screen Resolution
to your liking, then click on Apply.

Download and install the new ClearType Tuner Powertoy:
