Labtop won't go on standby ! I get an error message.

I have a ACER 4000WLCi Labtop and when I click on Start and then click on
shut down, and then click on standby to go on standby, I get an error message
that the device driver for the standard 101/102 - key or Microsoft Natural
PS/ Keyboard device is preventing the machine from entering standby. It says
please close all applications and try again. So, I closed evrything and I
till got the same message. How do I get my labtop to go on standby if this
message keeps coming up ?

Thankyou,
from Tracey Arnold

Hi Tracey,

This issue may occur if Adobe Type Manager is installed on your computer. Certain versions of Adobe Type Manager (version 4.0, for example) may not be compatible with the power management features of Windows XP.

One of these updates (for your version) from Adobe might help:

ATM Light updater - ATM Light for Windows - Downloads:

ATM Deluxe updater - ATM Deluxe for Windows - Downloads:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1553

If that does not help, see this article for other cause for the problem and the solution::

I, too, have just started receiving this message after having downloaded
Adobe Type Manager that was attached to my camera software. Your advice
helped me get rid of this annoying message. Thanks!
