Konica KD-400Z Download Difficulty with XP Home Ed

Neil

I have a KD-400Z camera and I am connecting it to a pentium
4 PC running XP Home Edition

The camera is visible in Device Manager disk drives as Drive F:

The camera is visible as a Mass Storage Device in the USB
connections area of Device Manager

No matter what action I take I cannot view the camera in My
Computer as either removable storage, a disk drive nor as
an imaging device

There is no Drive F: visible in My Computer view

The camera and its storage are quite visible when connected
to a Win 98 Toshiba Laptop after installing the W98 driver
from the CD

I have successfully downloaded pictures in W98

I would appreciate any advice you can offer on what to do
with Win XP

kind regards

Neil

.
Go to your camera manufacturer's website and download
the drivers for WindowsXP. My camera is not listed in My
Computer either but works fine with my graphics/photo
editor for downloading and editing.

Jake,

Thanks for the answer but it does not help

The Konica website does not have drivers for download, the
KD-400Z camera is XP compatible. I've now tested it on
another laptop running XP Pro and the connection is fine.
The camera shows up as a new drive in My Computer and
photos can be dowloaded

I think the problem is with my Windows XP Home but
everything attached to USB ports works except the camera
and the SD Card Reader
