Windows XP Photo Download Wizzard

Cannot get Wizzard to appear to automatically download
pictures from an Olympus C-4000 with a Dell 8250 XP Home
AO4 Bios. The Wizzard appears automatically via USB 2.0
connection on all other XP Home computers that it is
connected to. This computer works when a Photo CD is
inserted into the DVD drive but when the camera is
connected it does not appear. The computer recognizes the
camera under MY COMPUTER and you are able to manually
download the photo's from the "Mass Storage Device" (the
camera). I have reformatted and re-installed o.s. I have
re-installed USB drivers. Device Manager is A O.K.
Microsoft paid tech support gave up. Dell is a joke.If
anyone has any input it would be most appreciate. I
suspect the AO4 "upgraded" bios but don't have a clue as
to how to make the damn thing work as Bill Gates intended
it to. Thank you.

WindowsXP Photo Wizard looks for a graphics/photo editor

to download. You should have one that came with your
camera. Open the program first before trying to download.
Open editor, click "File" (upper left), click
Acquire/select source. Then click Acquire again and you
can download all you want.

HI Walter, sure hope you get an answer! The same thing
is happening with my Oly D510Z. Funny thing is, it just
started a week or so ago. The download photo wizzard is
lost!!!

Walter, I just fixed it. See the message (several
previous before yours) titled "Autopolay fix that works"
by Ron. It worked for me!! I'm a happy camper!!!
