Problem downloading photos from memory card

I have a Mustek 3500 digital camera, I have no problem
downloading photos from the build in memory on the
camera, but I have just purchased a Sandisk memory card
for use with this camera and can not download the photos
from the memory card. When I plug the camera in to the
computer with the memory card installed a screen appears
telling me that Auto play is running . When I try to go
into My Computer to axcess the USB Mass storage device F
drive the computer does not respond.I do not know a lot
about computers and was hopeing some one would be able
tell me how to download from the memory card . The
instructions that I recieved with the camera tell me to
connect the camera to the computer and an extra disc
drive (USB Portable Disc ) will appear , then my camera
is in Mass Storage Mode and I can copy , move or delete
the pictures the same way you manipulate files in Windows
user interface. Can any one tell me how to do this .

If you right click "USB Mass storage device F"...
what happens? Can you choose "Open"?

It may be a good idea to purchase a USB
memory card reader.
