keyboard trouble

My client has a wireless keyboard / mouse. When he types on the keyboard he
gets random windows that open. m opens search. e opens my computer, etc.
We put on a wired keyboard. Still happens. He said the mouse opens things
when it moves as well. Had him remove the wireless devices all together.
It still happens. Wired mouse and keyboard! No spyware. No viruses.
Help!

Bret,

I would say to leave the wired mouse and keyboard connected, remove the
wireless software for these devices, reboot, go into Device Manager and
reinstall the default drivers for the mouse and keyboard. Reboot again.

If this fixes the problem then make sure before connecting the wireless
devices back up that the lastest drivers for the wireless keyboard and mouse
are available and reinstall one at a time, making sure to reboot after each
one is installed and ensuring the problems do not return.

Good Luck!

I forgot this guy has got a laptop on a docking station. I'll bet he has a
key stuck down even though it's closed and docked...

I'll let you know.
