Sleep Lock Up

K

Kevin W.

Hi everyone, I posted in the "General" section, but maybe this is a better
forum for my problem. My computer went into a sleep or hibernation mode for
about 4 hours, when we tried to wake it up the power light on the front went
blue and the fan started running non-stop (that's all it will do).

My monitor says "No Signal Input" then the button turns yellow and the
screen goes black, My wireless keyboard & mouse will not work (the USB
receiver does not light up), and my CD drive does not open.

I have a Gateway GT5252 Media Center PC, running Windows XP Media Center
Edition, a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor, nVIDIA GeForce 6100, and
Elite Multimedia Wireless Keyboard & Optical Mouse.

I have opened up the side and disconnected all the connectors from the
wireharness and let it sit for about 10 minutes then plugged everything back
in and started it up. Same situation, the computer power button lights up
blue and stays that way, the fan runs non-stop, the montior comes on and says
"No Input Signal", the mouse & keyboard receiver does not light up, and the
CD drive does not open.

Any ideas, or is it just an oversized paperweight at this point?
