Keyboard Problem please help

I have a problem with a keyboard on a pc running windwos xp service pack 2

when i hit control alt delete the keyboard works and i can type but when i
get into windows it wont type a dam thing what could be wrong with it , i
have tried a standard ps2 keyboard and get the same problem

hope somebody knows a solution

What keyboard does Windows think you have?

Control Panel -> Regional ... Options -> Languages Tab -> Details
