KB834707 update to XP Home - SP2

I just sucessfully updated my system with 834707. I have automatic update
set to just notify me and nothing else. I was checking the Windows folder
and found this in it. It was put there when the update was performed. I've
never seen anything like it before. Is this normal or a problem?

folder $hf mig$
under it folder KB834707 and SP2QFE and Update - each of these folders
have files in them
file spmsg.dll
file spuninst.exe

I'm just wondering what to do or if this is something new with SP2

Those are part of the uninstall files if for some reason you want to
remove the update.

Appears to be a cache for a backup of the files that have been
installed; like the base dllcache or the ServciePackFiles installed by a
Service Pack. I'd keep it. It seems to be for that IE 6 upgrade;
whether regular windows updates will also use it remains to be seen

More importantly, the hf_mig directories are part of the hotfix migration
and multibranch support, so you might need them in the future.
