I wish to set up a dual boot system on my computer, currently partitioned C
and D, both NTFS. I tried to format my D: drive to FAT32. D: only has four
folders on it, yet I received a warning about a file being in use, and
aborted the format. The files were put on D by Windows, I think, as I never
use D. They are:
3620b711a40e64c3559f0 (contains folder called Update, and files:
$shtdwn$.req, cryptsvc.dll, spmsg.dll, spuninst.exe.)
RECYCLER (hidden file)
System Volume Information (hidden file)
WU Temp (empty)
May I assume that these files on D can be safely overwritten?
