I have been trying to get my computer TV card finally functional. Under
windows XP Media center. After reading I try to find a fix to my problem.

The guys at Microsoft were brilliant at providing a patch/hotfix that is
not yet release but it addresses my issue specifically with the ATI 650
video card. Big problem: I have neen reading and doing research because I
have not been able to install because it is a type of package that can easily
be install is Vista by clicking using WUSA.

I extract it into an MSU package but I extremely lost at this point because
I don’t know How to install. Thanks in advance for any assistance I gave up
another 2 days trying to solve the issue.

There is no KB929011. Repost which KB you're referring to, please.
AND, if the Hotfix is Vista specific, then it's NOT intended
for XP.

Yes I am refering to the following

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929011

According to microsoft technicians and posted documents on the ATI windowsxp
Media center forum the above patch is used in a windowsxp media center
enviroment.

Although it is not specifically mention in the article that the patch can
also be used for windowsxp media center, when the problem mention in the
article arises in a windowsxp system the patch can be apply to correct the
problem.

The problem is none to occur to a very limited number of customers that are
using media center xp in a none vista operating system enviroment. The
problem is being investigated but the patch also works for customers
experiencing the problem.

ATI/AMD is also aware of the problem and are refering customers with the 650
video card in a windowsxp media center enviroment to the above Microsoft
Patch for assistance while also investigating the cause.

THe original question still stands and I would really appreciate any
assistance. Thanks all in advance for your help.

It would be best to consult the above forum and inquire how one applies
the patch in XP since WUSA, which installs the update in Vista, is not
present in XP.
