I cannot get into the routine to repair my XP Pro
installation. I get an error message "The Passwword is
not valid" when trying to enter the Administrators
Password.

I have tried to use the hotfix 308402 but it won't run
because I've already upgraded my XPPro installation with
Service Packs 1 & 2.

Help!!!!!!!!!

The password is case sensitive, is your caps lock on?

I've tried with and without caps. Its apparantly a bknown
problem see KB 308402 - but the suggested solution won't
work for me for some reason. See below.

As far as I know, Win XP does not yet come out SP2 except for the beta
version.

Did you install wrong SP?
