Kaspersky kills internet explorer

Hi! With one of our old machines I'm trying to get AntiVirus. I downloaded
Kaspersky Internet Security 2006. Turned off Norton AV. Suddenly IE would
crash as soon as I typed a url or clicked a link. Even if Kaspersky is off.
Finally I removed Kaspersky and only now IE works again. Firefox worked
consistently. This machine is 633 with 256 RAM running XP Home, it's old but
well above sys requirements for IE and for Kaspersky. I am trying too
determine which AV to use with all of our PC's and Laptops, I was thinking
Kaspersky looked good but then this, maybe I should stick to VET??

Before you install an antivirus program you must completely uninstall -
not 'turn off' - any other antivirus program currently installed.

Good. You should stay away from IE anyway...it is a virus and malware
magnet...Maybe applications like Kaperski really are looking out for your
best interests....
