JVC GRD-93 MM2 and USB2 capture

Can I use the XP SP2 Windows Movie Maker to capture real time video
(streaming) from my JVC GRD-93 camcoder?
I get error that there are too many interface that could fire the event.
The camcoder is connected to the PC via a USB cable to USB2 port.
Any pointers to get this working?

Hello,

Yes you can but Movie Maker is not the right tool. You can download the free
Windows Media Encoder from Microsoft which will not only do what you want, it
will if you wish make it a live feed over the internet.

If you have the right type of DVD burner you can also capture to that real time
in an MPeg format....it may also be possible in DV-AVI, I'm not sure on that
bit. One of my burners a Ricoh will not do this but my other burners (Sony
D22A) will do it quite nicely...and to a dual layer disk if you want. (Use Nero
6 for that...have not tried or investigated Media Encoder)
