.....and I have a few questions.

1) Is there a cookie manager that will allow me to pre-determine which
cookies I want to keep? I was using iI System Wiper, but it can't find
FireFox's cookies.

2) Spywareblaster shows that I don't have FireFox installed. Javacool's
website says that his program should be able to detect version 0.8 and up.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is FireFox secure enough, that I don't
have to worry about Spywareblaster?

3) How do I stop the address bar from remembering addresses that were
previously entered into it?

I saw recommended Cookie Monster (v3.20 released yesterday)
http://www.ampsoft.net/
However I haven't used it yet.

Well, I'm using the german version of Firfox...

Under Tools / Einstellungen / Datenschutz
(that should be something like tools/options or preferences/security)
you can empty the all data and you can tell firefox wether it should
remember any data and for how long.
I thing emptying the chronik and put the days to remember to 0 should work.

Everything you want is in TOOLS - OPTIONS.

I'm using http://www.buttuglysoftware.com/ Mocleancache myself. But it
relies that you download and isntall Microsoft's .NET Framework.

Actually that is out-dated. Between 0.8 and 0.9 the profile directory
changed yet again and so it doesn't work again. I have read that the
upcoming spywareblaster 3.2 will fix this,

Is FireFox
secure enough, that I don't have to worry about Spywareblaster?

Technically the main purpose of spywareblaster is to block activex, which
firefox doesn't use at all. The secondary function of spywareblaster is to
put entries into the browser's cookie's blacklist to block known "tracking
cookies" This is where spywareblaster helps Firefox.

IMHO it's not really a big deal.

Thanks I am going to give it a try. It looks similar to what I was using for
IE6.

Too bad he doesn't allow the user to manually set the profile directory.
Then users wouldn't have to wait for him to update his program. Cookie
Monster (previously mentioned in this thread) allows this.

I agree. Interestingly the software I recommended above for cookie
management has the exact same problem as spywareblaster until it was
updated by the author. I asked the author why he did not give the users
the options to select the profile directory and he said that most users
were not competent enough to use such a feature.

Go figure :)
