Finally switching from MyIE2 to FireFox

I've been using MyIE2 for a year, but today I'm finally switching over
to FireFox. Can't think of anything right now from MyIE2 that I can't
get in FireFox (just found out how to do URL aliases, QuickSearches,
repositioning toolbars, and one-click tab-closing). Plus FireFox has
Find As You Type (in the text, not just in the links). I'm delighted
with it.

It made up my mind the same way as you just did. The sole usefulness
I still see in IE and IE based browsers is the Google toolbar integration *with
the pagerank information*.

Have you figured out how to prevent it from connecting automatically at
startup? There doesn't seem to be any configuration for connection behaviour

And after all this time, you still don't know that the Google toolbar is
spyware?

If you have any other way to get the google pagerank info, I am
mostly listening.

And you might be interested in Firefox's "Open Link Target In IE"
plug-in (you probably know about that one already). FYI.

I didn't even know it did that. What a superb feature!

Hey Jon, can you configure FireFox to close the previous group when opening
a new group?

If so, would you mind listing all the plugins it takes to get MyIE2
functionality? (Just the names, I'll look up the URL's)

Thanks,

Bob

Well ... I guess one feature I miss from MyIE2 is the easy-to-use
translation services (e.g. Korean to English) ... MyIE2 lets me simply
click a drop down and pick one of a dozen language conversions.

I do it with conquery, right click context menu.

The Google toolbar can be installed, but it doesn't show the PageRank
information?
