Jumpy cursor

Hi,

Got a very annoying problem in Outlook 2003 and Word 2003 on my notebook Inspiron5150:

My cursor is is just sporadicly jumping all over the place when typing a message or a document. This is VERY time consuming as I have to go back , move the cursor and delete typing errors all the time.

Any clues on how to fix this ? ..have had all prior versions of outlook and word but I've never experienced this before.

I've seen only a few people posting similar problems in various forums but without results ..no one seems to have a solution.

please help,

do you have the speech features installed and if so, are they enabled and do
you have a microphone turned on?
