cursor moves to body of email when Word is email editor

When I check "Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit email messages", every
time I create a new email, the cursor jumps down to the body of the email.
If I uncheck the box, the cursor will stay in the "To..." address box. It
gets really annoying to click in the To... box for every email.

I am using Office/Outlook 2003 on XP SP2 with Exchange server on SBS 2003.

Any suggestions?

I have narrowed it down to PDFMaker.dot. If this file is not loaded in Word,
then the email works correctly.
