I have had problems sending jpgs to people, as when it attaches, all that
comes up when I look at the ' sent' box was a ' red x' , and the attchment
in the paperclip area looks fine - although when people recieve the email and
open the attchment, the jpg has polorized for them.

I don't know what "polorized" means.

Make sure the image you are attaching is not open in
another program.

Make sure attachments are enabled:
Tools, Safety Options, Security, uncheck "Block images..." and also
uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."

Also go to Tools, Options, Send, Mail Sending Format, HTML Settings,
make sure "Send pictures with messages" is checked.

I have done all that you have suggested, and still get the red 'x' upon
sending the attachment. This is a new problem, as it was fine last week. (I
did update windows when prompted the other day) Polorized means that the
other person see the attachment as a reverse of the image, black where white
is, ect. Does it have anything to do with people who recieve the message
using a mac computer?

Thanks in advance for help.

There should not be a red X in the copy that is in the Sent Items folder.
Since your settings are OK, the only thing that is left as the possible
culprit is your antivirus. Which antivirus are you running? Some of
them are not fully compatible with Windows Mail.

okay, I have figured out that when I send a ' photo' jpg it is fine, and when
I send old graphic files I made ( I am a designer) it works fine, but NEW
graphic files converted to jpg does not send correctly, and I get the red x.
I have reinstalled my graphics program as I thought that might be the
problem, but that doesn't seem to help. any ideas? should I be looking
elsewhere?

It sounds like this is not a mail problem since you are able to
send many .jpg files successfully. One possibility, make sure your
new graphics file is closed before you attempt to attach it to a
message in Windows Mail.
