Jpeg Icons 'Stuck' on Paint Shop Pro's Icon!

I usually view graphics files with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I have
just installed Paint Shop Pro and it has taken the file association for JPG
and JPEG files. I can not restore the file associations under 'Folder
Option' => 'File Types' because Windows now thinks that Paint Shop Pro is
the original application. I have instead restored the file association
using 'Open With' from the right click popup menu however this has left the
Paint Shop Pro icons behind.
I have tried to repair the icons using icon repair in TweakUIXP, and also
the script from Kellys Korner 4) Repairs the Icon View but I am still stuck
with the Paint Shop Pro icons! Also 'Folder Option' => 'File Types' only
offers the options Change or Restore so this does not help.
All suggestions appreciated!

As long as you have Paint Shop Pro configured to be the default .jpg viewing
application, you will have their icons.

Chang this in the preferences for the program by "disassociating" PSP from
these file types.

Type in Start, Run:

cmd /c assoc .jpg=jpegfile
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

If that does not fix the problem, then apply the JPG association fix from
here:
