javascript will not work - help

ie6 win2k

When I click on a link to a javascript window the
windows opens for a second then closes. If I hold
down the cntrl key while opening the link the javascript
window will stay open.

Have tried installing ie6 over current ie6 on my pc,
and tried a various knowledge-base fixes w/no luck.

Any help appreciated.

is it possible you have a pop up killer program running?
I know mine will only allow pop ups when I hold down the
ctrl key

Note: I see an adjacent post (just a bit later than mine) and
I too have a google bar installed - must be the google bar (?)
as cited in a reply to that post.
