Japanese Language

A

Ayako Hicks

I want to write E-mails and others in Japanese. I added
Japanese on the Regional and language Options from
Control Panel, then downloaded Office XP Tool:Japanese
language pack. Still I can't write in Japanese. I think
I need Global Input Method Editor for Japanese, but I
can't download it. Please give me step-by-step
instructions. Thanks.

Did you install the Windows XP language pack?
To install the language pack, go to Start menu->Run, type intl.cpl
click on Languages tab, then check Instlall files for East Asian Languages,
and complex scripts check boxes.
After the language pack installation completes (may require a reboot), run
intl.cpl again, click languages tab and click on the Detail button. From
there you can choose which Input Method Editor (IME )you want to use.
thanks
Soo Kuan
