Japanese Character Set Help

Can anyone help me with showing Japanese character set information on my PC?
I have Microsoft XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 in English, but
I'm also trying to view information in Japanese from both the web and certain
games. I have the Language toolbar set to change between English and
Japanese for inputting information (email etc) via the Control Panel, Date
Time Language Regional options menu, but I still find that some web pages and
games which are in Japanese (Microsoft Zoo Tycoon 2 in particular) will not
display in Japanese, instead showing a string of question marks: "???????"
where there should be Japanese character information. I want to correct this
so that Japanese characters will display properly at all times. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Have you installed japanese code page conversion tables. You can do it
Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Advanced. You can find
several checkoxes here, so select the ones that you need. The characters in
web pages (and games too :) are usually coded in some regional codepage like
8859-2 (Central Europe) so it will not show properly if you don't have the
conversion isntalled. If there are more conversion tables for japanese
install them all (I don't know if it differs for different kanas)
