At the moment, both programs are free. Microsoft Antispyware doesn't scan
or remove cookies (i.e. the "trackers" you mention.) Ad-aware, on the other
hand, has no active protection in its free version. Comparative reviews of
the product Microsoft's is based on rated it quite well:

If any of the MSAS guys would like to respond and correct me that would be
fine, but I have talked to a few MS techs and they stated that they are not
sure if the "cookies scan" will be enable in future versions, the answer I
was given was basicly that cookies are not harmful and can only be controled
while you are at the site you got the cookie from, and since there are so
many limitations on the file size for the cookies, they are not really any
kind of threat...
