this software needs a lot of refining

I have been running the software for a few months and
while this software shows promise, it still has a long way
to go. The spyware scan does not pick up most of the
spyware that Lavasoft's free version of Ad-aware does
(want to try it out? Download the software and install it,
then go to http://forums.go.com/abc/forum?
start=0&forumID=17&byThread=true browse the boards {and
you'll get LOADS of spyware...shame on you ABC!!} then run
MSAS. After the scan is completed run Ad-aware and compare
the results).
The Tracks Eraser also fails to erase cookies and history
quite a bit of the time. I have had more sucess deleting
the information manually, and the software does not clear
the Index.dat file information.
I have yet to see any confirmation of reciept of any
information sent to Microsoft for further analysis.
The "more informaton" key on various threats shows
nothing is available.
The firewall does seem to function well.
Hopefully these deficencies will be addressed in newer
versions.

If you look closely, most of what you are considering to be a deficiency are
merely cookies. Cookies are not spyware but a possible privacy issue that
you can already bring under control. This is also why the tracks eraser is
a hit and miss function that has not been addressed. Also: there is no
firewall in this product - maybe you are referring to the active agents?

Speaking about Ad-aware and removing something or not I suggest you take a
look at Internet sites googling for ad-aware and delisting..
Here is a little info about that
