is it possible to network Window XP with Window ME?

i have had trouble with networking Window XP with Window ME. Does it have
something to do with the diffrent Windows or am I not installing the system
properly? if you think yoiu might have an answer please post it

However, I have XP, 2000 and me networked via a router. It
was a swine to set up the network I must admit.
