IRQ Sharing Issue

I am running a Asus P5N32 - SLi Deluxe mother board and 2 7900 GT OC BFG Tech
graphics cards in SLi.

I have checked in my BIOS and all of my current IRQs 3-15 are listed as PCI
(non of them are reserved)

My problem:

My 2 Graphics Cards and Silicon Image SiI 3132 SATALink Controller are all
on the same IRQ (no 18).

After rigorous testing with the graphics card company and diagnostic testing
done by them, the cards were found to not be at fault.

During Videos and during 3D Gaming, I experience what is called "screen
tearing". The graphics company has determined that the IRQ's are the problem
creating a conflict between the 2 graphics cards.

In a sense as I can put it in a term for everyone to understand, the 2
graphics cards being on the same IRQ are "fighting" over whom gets to get
used first.

The only way I can fix my issue is to manually move one of the graphics
cards to an IRQ that is available. IRQ 16 is not in use for me and my Plug
and Play is disabled.

What I have tried:

I have tried reinstalling windows after completing backing up my hard drive
to an exteral through a Raid connection. After that I did the process of
going to a standard PC so I would be able to manually set them. The option
was still locked out and it would not let me change them.

Any thoughts?

Did you install the SATA raid drivers using F6 key when you installed XP..?
Did you install one or both cards at the same time..?
Does the system BIOS report that you are in SLI mode..?

Got this from the BFG site..

SLI FAQs

Q. I am setting up my SLI system, should I put both BFG SLI ready cards in
at once or one at a time?

A. You should check with the documentation that came with your motherboard
to be certain. We suggest installing the top (closest to CPU) card first then
the OS and drivers. Once the system is up and stable shut it down and switch
the SLI/Single mode selector card (refer to system manual) to SLI or Dual.
Insert the second card and the SLI connector across the top of the two cards.
Boot the system and go into the bios to check for any SLI settings, make sure
they are set to auto or SLI. After the systems boots the second card will be
detected and the drivers installed and the system will need to be rebooted.
Once windows loads you will see an “SLI capable system†message. Click on
this message and select the “Enable SLI multi-GPU†checkbox, then “Apply†and
“okâ€. The system will reboot and you will see an “SLI has been enableâ€
message. Enjoy!

Check the ASUS site too..

I am sure I did everything correct during installation. I would really much
rather not re-install windows to test the SATA settings as they seem to be
working fine.

But I have tried uninstalling the cards and reinstalling them each
individually and that didnt work in the past, but I will report my findings
after trying what you have posted here.

I sent in my g-cards for analysis and my motherboard for testing to see if
there is a problem with the board. So until then I must wait out and see
what comes up.

I hope your suggestions fix my problems. Thank you again.
