Raid IRQ and access problems

Hi i have a promise S150 Tx2 plus card, which i use to control 2 maxtor 1609
drive striped together, i have partitioned them and was trying to copy about
6 gb from one partiont to another, the windows time kept changing and it
took about 10-15 mins in the end. Now this card is sharing an irq with my
graphic card irq 16 and the gigabyte board uses irq 9 for sharing. Is this
sort of speed about right, it seams very very slow 2 me, could it be becoz
of the irq sharing? Thanks Mike

try swapping the card to another slot

I have tired that but its still sharing IRQ's the only way wrong this is to
reinstall windows with the irq set for the card and see if that makes any
difference. Is this about time of 10-15 mins about right for copying data???

use the disk benchmarking tools from this site to check "real world"
performance
