IP Printers

I have IP printing setup on my local workstation. W2K TS doesn't seem to map the printers. Can TS use IP Printers? I have checked and the driver ver. are the same.

My local WS is W2K Pro, using the Remote Desktop Connection and the Printers are checked to map through the client. Also on the TS I have the box "Use Connection Settings From User Settings" checked and I have LPT mapping enabled

Printers will map if there is a UNC path versus the port being a Standard IP Printing Port

Thanks for any help.

The printer should map. So...what service pack are you
running? Have you installed the latest patches, or better
yet, have you installed this patch:

We have a range of printers setup using IP here on
Windows 2k ts, we find it easier to set up the printers
as a local port selecting standard tcp/ip port and then
generic network card. Add the printer driver as normal.
