Internet Speed Priority

Hi,
From my computer in my room i share the internet connection to the one in my
brothers room who downloads stuff all the time, ofcourse that is a pain when
I try to use the internet because it slows down everything and it makes
playing games over the internet impossible.
So I wonder if there is any way to set different priorities to different
programs so that for example if I am playing a game it can use all the
connection it needs and the other programs adjusts after the game.

What kind of Internet connection do you have? How much bandwidth? If you
only have a dialup, then that's your problem and nothing you do on your
computer is going to fix that. You'll have to work out an equitable
arrangement with your brother.
