Internet problems

Hello
I had problems with my windows Xp so i restarted it with a windows Xp
home Edition cd.
Before i had the problem my internet was working and everything was
good untill i got this error so i rebooted it with the Home edition Cd.
Now It won't let me conenct to the internet. The computer doesnt detect
the eithernet cord and same for the router.
I have a Sbc yahoo router and a dlink DI-604 router. can someone give
me a solouition. Thank you =D

First make sure that you have the current drivers for the card, from the vendor.

The run Device Manager, and un install the Ethernet driver. Then reboot, let
the driver re install (or install manually, following instructions), and reboot
again.

But what were the problems that required you to restart (reload the operating
system?)? Are you certain that you did resolve those problems?
