I'm running Windows XP Pro on a desktop with a DSL internet connection. I
recently got a DLink DI-624M wireless router. I have the desktop hardwired
to the router. I tried setting up a home network so that others in my
household can access the internet with their own computers and share file
among each other. I cannot get the network up and running. First of all, I
want each computer to get access through the router, but on the desktop, the
internet connection is an internet gateway. Does anyone know how to get rid
of the internet gateway and have the network be peer-to-peer? I cannot
disable the internet gateway and whenever I try to reconfigure the network,
it still defaults to the internet gateway.
