does anyone know how to get a internet explore window to open from a shortcut
in the same size and location on the desktop everytime it is opened? ei. when
I click on the microsoft update icon to go to the update page from my desktop
the window always open in a random spot, and very small window that is hard
to read, so I have to maximize it, or streach it. all three of my computers
open this window different, fisrst pc always in the center, and a decent
size, second pc always a decent size, but random location, and the third pc
always in a random location, and always very small window. I tried right
clicking on the shortcut then clicking on properties to change the window
size, but that does not work.

Internet Explorer remembers the last window that was opened and will open
that same way the next time that it's opened.

This will have to be redone occasionally.

Open *one* instance of IE | Use the cursor (not the
maximize button) to drag the window to the desired
size | Click the Close [X] while holding down the
Ctrl key.

When all else fails, paste the line below into Start | Run

javascript:window.open(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight)

Note: then make sure the above window is the last one closed.
