Internet explorer quits..

Hi,

I have a problem with my internet explorer 6.0 browser.
After any length of use (15 minutes or so -- I'm surprised
it let me get this far, actually) Internet explorer will
come up with one of two error messages:

Explorer has caused an error in USER.EXE. Explorer will
now close.

or

Explorer has caused an error in kernel32.dll. Explorer
will now close.

In each case, explorer quits itself. I don't know what's
causing the problem. My windows update does not say that
I require any critical updates -- I did install the patch
offered last weekend. It didn't help. Is there a patch
that can fix my problem? If not, where can I find
Internet Explorer 6.0 to download? I think if I reinstall
it I could fix the problem.

Thanks.

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis: Post your files to the
forum mentioned on the above page.

If you cannot access the page to download HijackThis, use this link:

If you find you need CoolWebSearch Shredder, use this link:
http://216.180.252.218/~spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/cwshredder.zip
(Get a fresh copy of CWS Shredder before each use. It's updated
frequently.)

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on do both once-a-day.
