Internet explorer error

I am running internet explorer 6.0 on Microsoft ME. When
I try to access the internet, I now receive the following
message. "Explorer has caused an error in <unknown>.
Explorer will now close. If you continue to experience
problems, try restarting your computor." My access to
outlook express has not been effected and I can access the
internet through sources such as Real Player. Any
suggestions?

This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
