internet explorer provided by aol?

Why does my internet explorer window say that it is
provided by America Online? I'm not subscribed to AOL?
How do I fix that? What can I do?

Hello..

Perhaps you may have downloaded internet explorer from the
CD provided by AOL and hence you see that message on top
of your browser window.

Internet explorer is only provided by Microsoft.

You probably went to a site and it rewrote it, or
something you installed changed it. AOL works its way
into every nook and cranny possible. Goto
HKEY_CU_software_microsoft_internet explorer_main and
change the Window Title value to whatever you want it to
say...
