HHH EEE LLL PPP !!!

1) I have a network connection (and I can receive email),
2) I have tried turning off Add-ons and
3) resetting Internet Explorer
yet I stll can not connet to the internet??

Someone suggested uninstalling IE7, but the Microsoft Web site says that
Internet Exporer 7 is includeed with Vista.

What other options do I have?
Is there a application download I can try?
I am at a loss. Please help!

That's a real kicker. I'd suggest downloading Firefox, but how are you
going to do that without a browser? If you have another machine with
access, you could download it there, copy to transportable media and then
install.

Has it ever worked?
When did it stop working?

Failure in what way, what are you unable to do, open it, surf? Make sure
that you check your Firewall to make sure that Port 80 is not blocked.

Depending on what type of network connection you have, the procedures for
correnting this are diffrent.

However I would start on setting up your IE7. I have a wireless internet
connection and i am able to contect to the internet and emails from both
computers.

Check to see if your share connection is set properly on the system that
connects to the internet. If you have a wireless network then set it to a
wireless network or set it to Local area network if this is the case.

setup your internet explorer to use the shared connection, you do this the
same way as a normal connection however you will need to select the
applicable setting, bet it wireless or LAN instead of a modem.

I did have the same problem and used these points to solve my problem.

assuming you have the proper driver for your NIC, remove it from device
manager.
reboot and let vista reinstall it.
then let it detect the network.
I have found that in 90% of the cases that resolves the issue.
In XP that was many times an issue with LSP. Running the LSPfix.exe
available many places would fix it too.
Sometimes running the command line "netsh winsock reset' would do the trick
as well.
I haven't tried it on Vista. With the new things they have done, I wouldn't
couint on it working.
