Hi all.
im new to computers and me mate give me his old laptop. the problem i have is when i click on internet in the start menu it comes up with Internet properties so i cant connected to the internet any ideas be great.

Yes im connecting to the internet, ive been on-line via an e-mail. can go on all the web pages via an e0mail but not direct rom explorer

Service provider is Virgin Media

Operating system is XP

Dell laptop

Hi Carl
You say you are able to go online via e-mail. By this do you mean IE 8 will open if you click on a link in an e-mail ?
