I run XP on my system and operate a small business from
home. I am continually experience internet drops outs.
Was connected via Cable and had same problem, changed to
ADSL, exactly same problem, have had phone lines,
computer hardware EVERYTHING checked and no-one can find
out why I can't maintain an always on connection. When it
goes down, I have to restart computer to reconnect. A
tech mentioned once it might be a bug in XP - anyone else
having this happen?

I work for a broadband network doing support on end user
side and network side. Its your operating system. Get
away from Microsoft, and you will not have ONE problem.
garaunteed. You just DO NOT see this with other operating
systems. The reason noone can find the issue even after
replacing all of your equipment and checking lines, is
because there is no problem there. And you even switched
ISPs and types of broadband and still have the problem.
So...what is the one constant during all of your testing
here? ...your operating system.
