Intermittent Internet dropouts

I have 2 XP based desktop machines on a wireless network using the Netgear WGR614 Router. Both connect well to the Internet and and display very good to excellent signal strength. One machine, however, (an HP) has intermittent dropouts. These either fix themselves, with a balloon at the lower right announcing connection, or can be fixed by going to the "refresh" utility. My first thought, since it's just one machine and not the other, is that it is a firewall issue in the HP, but I'm really just shooting in the dark. Any ideas? Thanks.

In the wireless network properties, make certain
that "enable IEEE 802.1x authentication" is not checked.
This is know for causing this type of disconnects.
