I use a wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet.
This connection worked fine for several months. A couple
of weeks ago, I installed a new CD-RW unit, and since
then, my internet connection doesn't work. The signal
strength shows 100%, but when I click on Explorer, it
shows the "page cannot be found." I originall was getting
an ikernel.exe error message. I found a patch on the
microsoft page under article 328310, and now I no longer
get the error message, but any still cannot connect to the
internet.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. How do I find out the ip address
the computer is getting?

Start, run, type in: cmd, hit enter.
Type in: ipconfig /all
hit enter.
Look for ip address.
And make sure that DHCP enabled says yes.
