After messing around trying to get the remote desktop function to work on my
home network (one computer has XP Pro the other XP Home) I cannot get on the
Internet has before. Now when ever I try to get on the Internet on the XP
Home computer I get this message ( you need to pickup the handset (telephone
receiver) and manually dial the ISP number to make the connection then hang
up the receiver. I never had to do this before and I do not want to continue
to have to do this, I have tried to put everything back the way it was, but I
still get the same message. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

It sounds like the dialing mode is set to 'rotary dial' instead of tone
dialing. The dialing properties are available in the properties of the
connection icon
