Installshield problem??

PC (Presario 2500) will not load new software.
MapSend Streets & Destinations USA,
Mac tool mentor scan system software and Panda Anti-Virus
Titanium 7)etc.
Get Error as follows:
Error installing ikernel.exe (0xa00)
Tried to delete C:\program files\common
files\InstallShield folder but cannot delete these files.
Get error message access is denied.
I am logged on as administrator and can find no reason
the InstallShield files won't delete. Suspect these files
may be corrupted. Only programs installed since purchase
are Cannon Photo Record, Canon utilitites and
Microsoft wireless mouse. Also added home networking
product from Microsoft
all of which loaded and works fine.
Please Help.
