Installshield problem

When I try to install some games, for example: Black & White 2, Civilization
4, the computer shows the installation menu. But once I click INSTALL, it
comes it with some error message. It looks like the Installshield cannot be
initiated. I know there is nothing wrong with the disc because it works
perfectly fine with either computer. Can any one help? Thanks

So...what is the error message. Issues that will prevent
Installshield from functioning include insufficient space
on the target, not enough temporary file space, and so on.

The error message has nothing relate to my hardware, I believe. My hardware
is much higher than the game requires. There are many other people has the
same problem when i check the game forum, but not everyone though. The
installation works fine in my other 2 computer with windows XP sp2 (inteal).
My computer has Microsoft .net framework installed (amd). It is the only
difference. I think there is something wrong with microsoft .netframework,
microsoft installer, and installshield combine. If I uninstall the SP2, the
installation works fine, but then I am unable to reinstall the SP2. I
eventually format the whole computer again.
