I want to install the XP-Pro (upgrade) on my PC. About
two weeks ago I downloaded the SP2 upgrade for XP-Home and
installed it.
I ran the Win XP Pro Upgrade Advisor yesterday, and it
says that I cannont install XP-Pro because I now have
a "newer" version of Windows on my PC. (SP2)
Can I safely install XP-Pro over XP-Home-SP2, and retain
my files and settings, or will installing it trash my
system? Or, will XP-Pro just NOT install at all over XP-
Home-SP2?
If not, can I uninstall the SP2 Upgrade, and then install
XP-Pro safely?
Or will I just have to format and do a clean install, then
have to redo my settings and reinstall all my apps and
programs?
